meatball + forklift ? another blast from the past… almost two years ago to be exact… the spaghetti and meatball came from a pizza place down the street (@vintagepizzaeveryday) and the forklift is from “the lot” in Hollywood California (on the other side of the country from my street). thanks to “the lot” transportation captain, Robert, for modeling and forklifting. #combophoto #tbt

bridge + guitar getting this shot of the Brooklyn bridge with @flynyon was one of the more memorable experiences I’ve ever had. BONUS: we surprised the kids with an aerial excursion over Manhattan and I can honestly say I’ve never seen my straight-faced daughter smile as much as she did that day. more helicopter views on @combophotofail #combophoto ??

beard + pine straw this idea got buried way down at the bottom of the early days #combophoto pile. I photographed myself and the beard of pine straw back in April of 2014. I’d tried an edit that cut off most of my face, mainly because I wasn’t sure of what was happening with my eyes. I shot this early in the morning and though I was mostly in shadow (laying on the ground), the sky was so bright I could hardly open my eyes. that said I guess I’m willing to overlook what wasn’t working for me then, but apparently works for me now. or maybe I’m just being lazy? Last thing, and I hate to do this here, but I’ve been nominated for a Shorty Award and though it’s awkward to ask for your vote… could you guys vote for me… and stuff? booze + cement mixer here’s a little something to help all those thanksgiving travelers get through the week. this ones been on my “things to combine” list for quite a while now. I guess it required me taking a vacation to make it happen. down in the Bahamas this week, and though I don’t drink, it only seemed appropriate to throw some festive spirits in a cement mixer. I tried it with milkshake ingredients (my preference), but it was done hastily and didn’t quite land for me (milkshake version over on @combophotofail). regardless, happy early thanksgiving. major thanks to uncle Bryan and @lmcm2 for helping coordinate the first dual video #combophoto.

TBT: fries + smokes ?? I posted this almost two years ago. it was during the very intermittent, somewhat sloppy, early days of #combophotos, but I still consider this one of my all time favorites. a lot of my older images need to be reshot for various reasons, but this one held up pretty well.
